I often get emails asking for help on how to make your own cards and in particular where I get supplies. So here are a few links, on where to get some advice and craft supplies.
Don't forget to visit the forum if you want to pose a question, and visit my supplies page.
I buy all my card by the sheet and cut and fold myself. I buy all my card and most of my envelopes locally from a stationer in Bedford - Colemans and they are excellent, they do have other branches around this area, this is the most southerly one. The envelopes are Conqueror and are very good quality with a laid finish and peel and stick flaps.
I have also purchased card from www.CraftCreations.co.uk but do make sure that you look at the weight of the card.
Another supplier that I have purchased envelopes and cellophanes from is Cutting Edge Cards, they offer quite a few different colours, you can't order from their web site yet www.eco-craft.co.uk
I have a Dahle trimmer that I use constantly I started with a small one - and have now moved to a slightly larger one - 551, check out their web site www.Dahle.co.uk
There are loads of mail order suppliers out there and lots advertise in the craft magazines:
www.Crafts-Beautiful.com
www.PopularCrafts.com
(There aren't many adverts on the web sites - but there are projects included in the web sites)
There are often big craft shows at the NEC Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester check out their sites for Sewing for Pleasure and Hobbicrafts exhibition, they are worth a visit.
Most of my fabrics come from John Lewis they sell minimum of 10cm!
